  • ASCLD/LAB Legacy Program Inspector since 1993.

  • ASCLD/LAB-International Program Technical Assessor since 2004.  Lead Assessor since 2009.

  • National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA) Technical Assessor (2009).

  • Participated in more than fifty laboratory assessments and/or inspections in the United States,  China (Hong Kong), Malaysia, and Australia. 

  • Assessed/inspected the disciplines of Drug Chemistry, Toxicology, Firearms and Toolmarks, Trace Evidence, Questioned Documents, Digital & Multimedia Evidence (Computer Forensics, Forensic Audio, Image Analysis, and Video Analysis) and Electronic Evidence (Computer Forensics).

  • Appointed Chairperson of the ASCLD/LAB Database Standards Committee to develop standards and criteria for the AFIS, CODIS, and NIBIN informational databases (April 1999 - September 2000).

  • ASCLD/LAB Accreditation Manager for the Florida Department of Law Enforcement crime laboratory system (2000).

  • Assisted ASCLD/LAB in training its Digital & Multimedia Evidence Inspectors (May 2003, October 2004, and April 2006).

  • Inspector  for ASCLD/LAB’s first Legacy Digital & Multimedia Evidence inspection (August 2003) of the NCBI's Digital Evidence Unit.  

  • Developed/presented workshops on preparing for Digital Forensics Accreditation at the  ASCLD 2003,  2004, and 2011 annual meetings.

  • Appointed by the ASCLD/LAB Board as Chair of the Digital Evidence Proficiency Review Committee (December 2003 - 2009).  Currently a  committee member.

  • Presented Digital Forensics accreditation training to the Law Enforcement Video Association (April 2004 and October 2005).

  • Team Captain for ASCLD/LAB’s May 2004 Legacy inspection of the FBI’s North Texas Regional Computer Forensics Laboratory.

  • Technical Assessor for ASCLD/LAB’s first International  Program Digital & Multimedia Evidence assessment (September 2004) of the DEA's Computer Forensics Laboratory.

  • Technical Assessor for ASCLD/LAB’s June 2006 International Program assessment of the Charleston Police Department’s Digital Forensics Unit.

  • Technical Assessor for ASCLD/LAB’s May 2007 International Program assessment of the Texas Department of Public Safety’s Computer Data Recovery unit.

  • Team Captain for ASCLD/LAB’s  August 2007 Legacy inspection of the FBI’s Heart of America Regional Computer Forensics Laboratory.

  • Team Captain for ASCLD/LAB’s  Legacy inspection of Target, Inc. Assets Protection Laboratories (October 2008).

  • 2008 nominee for ASCLD/LAB's Tony Longhetti Award (which recognizes Inspector/Assessor excellence).

  • Lead Assessor for ASCLD/LAB’s August 2009 International Program assessment of the Hennepin County Sheriff's Department.

  • Technical Assessor/Consultant on ISO/IEC 17025:2005 accreditation to CyberSecurity Malaysia's Digital Forensics Laboratory (December 2007 - January 2010).

  • Technical Assessor for  NATA's ISO/IEC 17025:2005 accreditation assessment of the Australian Federal Police Electronic Evidence laboratories in Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane, Canberra, and Sydney Australia (September 2009).

  • Technical Assessor for the NATA's ISO/IEC 17025:2005 accreditation assessment of Stratsec's Digital Forensics laboratory in Canberra, Australia (September 2009).

  • Lead Assessor/Consultant for the ISO/IEC 17025:2005 Gap Analysis of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Laboratories and Scientific Services (March - August 2011).

  • Lead Assessor/Consultant for the ISO/IEC 17025:2005 Gap Analysis of Lockheed Martin's Digital Forensics Laboratories (April 2011).

  • Consultant to private and public sector on preparing for ISO/IEC 17025:2005 accreditation in the Digital Evidence discipline.
